MY VERY OWN SECRET GARDEN...

FURTHER TALES FROM SHY YETI-LAND...

Hello beasties!

Just a brief post this week before I take a week or so off; not that you'll probably notice, as my week off could easily be mistaken as one of my usual fortnight breaks. Oh dear - I mean well...

Next time I'll either present you with something new or I'll have something new to release to you in book format; so may include a poem from it. I'm very nearly finished putting POETIQUETTE together, so am hoping to have that finished once I return from my week off; mid-August. I am also looking into doing a show - probably my only event of 2015 due to my wobbly health this year - and I'm hoping that I'll be doing it sometime in October. More information on this once I know myself!

More soon!

Yeti hugs,

Paul xx

P.S. The first draft of this piece was written on Sunday 19th July 2015, with slight reworking and additions made on Sunday 26th July 2015, just before it was posted.

P.P.S. Deeley's been posing again...

Here's the new prose piece...

MY VERY OWN SECRET GARDEN...

Today I have the garden to myself...
My secret garden...
Today I may seize my opportunity...
Just keep myself busy and forget -
That in truth, it is no secret...
Usually this garden is full of those in the know...
Locals, such as myself,
Who come to lose themselves -
In the peace of this happy hidey-hole...
A haven that few tourists ever stumble upon...
Even on the quietest days one expects some human company...
But today it is just the squirrels and myself...
Oh, and a particularly inquisitive magpie;
Pulling shiny objects, wrappers and the like -
From the waste-bin closest to the gate;
A gate where I now sit - taking my opportunity...
Im gradually building myself a wall -
Slowly stirring up the cement -
Replacing the entrance with bricks...
Soon I will be the only one who is able to appreciate the garden...
A real secret, at last...
But, you may say -
How will I ever be able to leave?
My reply?...
Why on earth would I ever want to?
