Hello beasties!
This week I'm just here to announce the release of the 10th anniversary special of THIRD TIME LUCKY and also to share with you a piece from that collection, that I've never really focused on before.
THIRD TIME LUCKY, published in late 2002, was Paul’s third self-published collection and his second to include completely contemporary compositions. Long before he became Shy Yeti he was just plain Paul Chandler; what hasn’t changed is that he always wrote daft verse! Until now THIRD TIME LUCKY has only been available alongside its sister volume GO 4TH AND DIVIDE (due to be re-issued in 2013) so this is the first time it has stood alone. This version is a special 10th anniversary edition containing photos and behind-the-scenes information about the book. This collection includes many poems that Paul still performs today such as COMPUTER DATING, GOOD HUG, HERBAL TEABAGS, OH, FLORENCE!!, PARTY GIRL, SOON ON YOUR WAY, TAKEN, THINGS AIN’T WHAT THEY USED TO BE (PT 1) and X-MAS SHOP LIFTER, but many that he doesn’t! So… Sit back and enjoy!!!

I'm busy working on new poems for future books, mainly working on my Blackberry on and off through the day. My most recent completed piece is called ON FIRST NAME TERMS WITH LOVE, not to mention the piece THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN which I posted as an additional post last week...
Next week we'll have a diary from the Venice trip with hopefully plenty of photos...
That's it for now, more soon...
Yeti hugs,
Paul xx
THEY FOUND HIM WANDERING (IN
Wild-eyed, hair astray – tozzled and twig strewn; a barber's nightmare.
He'd been eating daffodils and something that he'd picked up out of a bin…
A couple of walkers had spotted him staring strangely at large footprints in fresh mud;
He'd bent down and begun kissing the earth!!!
The Police had been called; just in case he was dangerous…
But when they came he wouldn't say a word, instead he just pointed at the prints…
“It was as if he'd lost something…” said the arresting officer before they took him away; For his own protection mind; just to get him sorted out – not a BAD arrest or anything!
No one could understand him – or what had made the footprints; best left well alone…
“No-one has feet that size – not even the Abominable Snowman!”
Said the Duty-Sergeant on the night they kept him in…
“Not a man!” shouted the stranger, “A woman!” It was the only thing he said all night.
Next day they had him bundled off to hospital to be observed…
“It was rather like having a sulky adolescent come to stay…”
Said the Duty-Sergeant – for their guest hadn't said another word…
Once settled Sister was heard to have her own opinion
“He's quite an attractive young man under all that hair…”
He'd scrubbed up nicely – but wasn't happy…
No-one seemed able to do anything for him, “Let me go back to her…”
He sobbed during his first night in the hospital, “Let me go back!”
There wasn't very much else that they could do…
They discussed it and agreed that they couldn't keep him in much longer…
But next morning – somehow – he was gone…
They had found him wandering in
But he was never sighted again; except maybe once…
A scruffy young man sitting under an oak tree…
Eating daffodils with what the observer described as looking like –
“Some kind of Amazon woman at least eight foot tall!!”
“Let me go back to her…” he had pleaded; seems he found his own way eventually.
Happy wanderers lost somewhere in the depths of the Park…
