This time on the blog we'll be looking at the episodes of the podcast released during April 2022...First up, Canadian Ryan is back with us - he's been busy working in comic book shops all over the universe and has plenty of stories to tell!

A YETI STUCK AT WOKING STATION!

PAUL AND WARREN ARE FULL OF HORROR!
Here we are for episode 524! This time Paul and Warren discuss some of their favourite horror films! We begin with the Amicus movies from the 1960s and 1970s and not just the horror ones! Following that Paul focuses on three of his favourite Italian horror directors of the 60s-80s. Yeti Uncle John also features when he learns that Warren is in the studio and we have a new composition by Muffley which reminds us of the scary Italian films that Paul mentions during the show! April was a great month for the show - I'm not completely sure, but I think I'm right in saying that we received the most downloads ever in one month during April 2022 - 4385 downloads on Libsyn across the whole history of the show. Some shows probably get that much in a few hours - but it's about 4 times more than I'd hope to get on a good month. I'm not sure if it's because the show was listed on someone's podcast group or similar - I often put The Shy Life Podcast out there for things like that and Trowby often tweets in support of us (and other show) to listeners out there looking for new podcasts to follow... The stats were mostly from big chunks of episodes being downloaded in order - so it only takes a few people who decide that they want to try multiple episodes to make quite a difference. Anyway! It was very heartening - and I don't expect May 2022 to match that total... It was especially exciting because those first 4000 downloads came within the first few days of the month! Every day I woke up and... wow! even bigger totals!! Thank you... whoever helped achieve that and I hope that you enjoy exploring the weird world of The Shy Life Podcast!
