Hello beasties!

This time we'll be talking about new podcasts and also unveiling a new poem from Mister Yeti!

A HEN NIGHT AND A STAG-DO!

Here we are for episode 290! It is the night of Bettina's Hen Night and Dameus's Stag-Do and the two evenings really couldn't be more different. BAD TORO!!

What a bad, bad toro…
He is deserving of our scorn!
He is a bull who should know better -
Than to poke one with his horn!
He is a bull who has no morals…
He is a bull who’s full of rage!
He is a bull who is dramatic –
Who ought to live life on the stage!
But he’s too busy being wicked –
With a head that’s full of sin…
Halt now! Stop before you start –
There is no good way to begin…

What a bad, bad toro…
He has no respect at all!
He shows no shame for his behaviour -
It’s like you’re talking to the wall!
Why does he think it’s fine to be –
Such a complete and utter prick!
Out there frolicking each night –
Until he makes himself feel sick!
He was spotted on the lawn -
Sun-bathing wearing just his hat!
Oh, He has such an attitude -
Why is he such an utter twat!?!


What a bad, bad toro…
He is becoming quite a bore…
He thinks he’s acting very clever -
Thinks he’s quite above the law!
Well, let me tell him, that he isn’t -
He’s just a self-entitled lout…
I’m not even being mean -
And I am not wracked with doubt!
He needs teaching a good lesson -
Although I wonder if he’d learn!
All he cares about is money or -
How much from us he might earn!


What a bad, bad toro…
He’s showing off; he’s such a twit…
Strutting off about the town -
In swanky strides that do not fit!
He doesn’t seem to care at all -
What people think of what he’s wearing!
There with his bottom hanging out…
So very keen on over-sharing!
Some seem to think that he’s well-meaning -
Or that his heart is oh-so full…
But I am going to tell you straight now -
That bad toro; he just talks a load of bull!


BAD TORO

This poem was nearly 10 years in the writing - not that I was constantly working on it across those years, of course! The idea first came to me in April 2010 - I think the title relates to a cartoon I saw when in Spain during one of my trips over there; although I'm not sure how much was written that far back. I do know that most recently I returned to in June 2018, October 2018, January 2019, May 2019 and then finally finished it in September 2019; completing verse 3 and writing all of verse 4. During late September I was writing a line or two every day for over a week until it was finished and then on the 27th I made it a plot point of one of my post-300 episodes of THE SHY LIFE PODCAST which will either be out sometime in December 2019 or possibly not until January 2020.

What with Yeti Uncle John often being up in space - Bettina gives Paul the details of a caretaker who used to work on her Estate... It seems like a good idea until it becomes evident that this gentleman swings from being extremely lazy to shovelling every last thing into a bin bag... What ever will happen when he reaches the basement and finds all the tat in Cromitty's laboratory; what will happen to all those priceless Sutton Park tapes? For that matter will Cuthbert make it through the night!?!

### Re-connecting With The Past

Paul catches up with Cromitty and Martin and is excited to learn that Cuthbert has a few added advances that makes it possible to re-connect with the past via old episodes of SUTTON PARK... Ikk is slightly doubtful about it all - but he and Paul soon get to experience the process first-hand. Unfortunately his upgrade also unearths the control of a certain app that was once installed on him!
