Hello beasties!
This week we'll be looking at some more of the podcasts that I've released in the first week or so of January 2019; also we have photos taken during the recording of one of those episodes...
First up though, we're continuing our review of the episodes released in 2018! Extra thanks to Jay for making time to record this - especially as when we first recorded I managed to miss out a month of episodes. Originally I'd considered getting Aunt Tappie to fill in - but Jay said he'd happily return to fill the gap; which funnily enough you don't notice at all when you're listening... But now maybe you will! Jay also recorded his cameo for my Big Fatty Online episode which came out on Boxing Day during the second of these recording sessions.
Here we are for episode 220! Paul catches up with podcasting pal, Jay The Hauntcub of the little LOTSL show to discuss 20 more episodes of THE SHY LIFE PODCAST released between June and September 2018. Listeners, do you remember when we tried to catch up with Nessie or when we threw our own Pride48 event and Paul managed to miss it!? What about when Paul went to Denmark and Marseille or when he accidentally trashed his laptop during a trip to Scotland? Maybe you recall when Paul and friends discussed films - for almost three hours - when Ikk considered opening a dating agency or when everyone threw Yeti Uncle John a leaving party and then he didn't leave!? Whay about when Paul got hypnotised? When Alena contemplated her level of narcissism or when Zap tried to ruin an interview or when Charlie got heart-broken over a pie? Next up - the final episode of our review of 2018; this time with one of our most frequent guests, Toppie Smellie! We recorded a number of things during this recording session; including Aunt Tappie's message for our New Year's Day Extra Material - but this recording was the main focus on this occasion. (Ikk and Martin also help!) Listeners, do you remember when Mr Yeti took a trip in a time machine, when long lost Cousin Algernon showed up or when an old nemesis showed up from another dimension? Maybe you'll recall when Shelving Imps invaded Paul's library, when there was big trouble during a murder mystery weekend or when ghosts decided to go on strike around Halloween? No? What about when Paul got an ear-worm or was turned to stone during a birthday party? All that and he also ended up on Uranus at Christmas having agreed to deliver presents for Santa. Surely you remember THAT!!! Our next episode has become a bit of a tradition to record... (Well, it happened in 2016 and now in 2018, I had a cold during this week back in 2017!) Anyway, it's a diary of what I do and the people who I see during the Christmas holidays. I was hoping to record with my niece, Alena for the finale of this one - as she was over in the UK and I had hoped to see her; but in the end it wasn't possible. Thanks again to Scotty Battler and Jay The Hauntcub for recording their messages - which also added nicely to this edition of the show. I do enjoy a good diary episode; there will be more to come!

I won't be doing a written diary of my Christmas holiday as you have a far more interesting audio version (see above), however I do have some photos which were taken during the recording of episode 222; from Avebury on Friday 28th December 2018...
Next time on the blog we'll be well into January and I'll have been busy recording new shows - whilst finally getting the chance to release new episodes that have been waiting to escape since late October into early November ... (Yes, I still have shows recorded during my birthday week off!!)
